Bulletins and hymn screens make it easy to follow along, even if it’s your first time in a Lutheran service.

Holy Communion

A Note on the Lord’s Supper

As a WELS congregation, Holy Redeemer practices close communion, meaning we ask that those who are not members of our congregation or sister WELS/ELS congregations speak with Pastor Duve before communing with us. This isn’t about judging anyone’s faith — it comes from a desire to be honest about what we believe the Sacrament is and to care well for every guest. Please don’t hesitate to ask; Pastor Duve is always glad to talk it through before the service.

As a WELS congregation, Holy Redeemer practices close communion. We ask that guests who are not members of our congregation or a sister WELS/ELS congregation speak with Pastor Duve before communing with us. This isn’t about judging anyone’s faith — it comes from a desire to be honest about what we believe the Sacrament is and to care well for every guest.

Children are always welcome in worship — a little noise is no bother at all. Kids are also welcome at Sunday School, held at 9:00 AM alongside adult Bible Class (Sunday School takes a summer break and resumes each September).

How long does the service last?

Worship begins at 10:00 AM and typically wraps up by about 11:15 AM.
