A Lutheran congregation in Port Huron, Michigan, holding to the truth of Scripture and the confession that Christ alone saves.
Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), located at 4475 W Water St in Port Huron, Michigan. We are a family of believers who gather each Sunday to receive God’s gifts of Word and Sacrament, encourage one another in faith, and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our community.
Whether you grew up Lutheran, are exploring Christianity for the first time, or are simply looking for a church home in the Port Huron area, we welcome you to worship with us.
As a WELS congregation, Holy Redeemer holds firmly to the historic, confessional Lutheran faith.
We believe the Bible is the verbally inspired, inerrant Word of God — the only rule and norm for what we teach and believe.
Salvation is a free gift, won for all people by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ — not earned by our own works.
This gift of salvation is received through faith, worked by the Holy Spirit through the Gospel in Word and Sacrament.
Pastor Aaron Duve serves as shepherd of the Holy Redeemer congregation, bringing God’s Word to the pulpit each Sunday and caring for our church family throughout the week. He welcomes calls, emails, and visits from members and newcomers alike — there’s no wrong reason to reach out.
“Indeed, it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—”Ephesians 2:8 (EHV)
Holy Redeemer is proud to be a member congregation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), a fellowship of confessional Lutheran churches across the country united in the same faith and mission.
